duskbloods missing from the direct, and i'm kinda relieved for gta 6's november

Saw the Nintendo Direct recap and The Duskbloods wasn't in it. That's From Software's Switch 2 exclusive, still supposedly coming out this year. Now it's September and there's no release date, no new footage, nothing. The closed network test in August had server issues on day one, so maybe they're pushing it back to iron out the online stuff.

I'm not a Switch 2 guy, but I do keep an eye on what's dropping around GTA 6. November is already stacked with the Ocarina of Time remake on the 5th, then GTA 6 on the 19th. If Duskbloods slips to 2027, that's one less big game fighting for my attention. From Software fans are probably bummed though. The playtest was apparently more popular than Elden Ring Nightreign's, so there's real demand there.

Nintendo does those dedicated Directs for big games, like they did for Star Fox and Ocarina. So maybe Duskbloods gets its own thing in a few weeks. But if it's not out by end of year, it's a 2027 game. That's fine by me. I'll be deep in Leonida by then, and honestly the less competition GTA 6 has in November, the better. I want all eyes on Vice City.
