sp is gonna eat my life but online's got serious chaos potential if they don't overdo it
Single player is going to be a full on inspection project for me. Every alley, every storefront, every weird npc interaction. I'm not rushing through Leonida just to hit the credits.
Online though, if Rockstar keeps the systems grounded instead of turning it into another flying bike circus, could be the best part. The gas mechanic alone opens up so many dumb scenarios.
Imagine some guy kills you in freemode and takes off. You chase him across the map like normal, but then he has to stop and fill up. You roll up while he's stuck at the pump and just toss a grenade. No getaway, no escape. He has to stand there and watch it land.
Or you and your crew decide to drive into a hurricane just to see what happens. No mission, no objective. Just four idiots in a car arguing about whether to turn around while the wind throws shit at you.
And the hand to hand combat. If our characters can actually train strength or stamina, one punch knockouts would be hilarious. I remember in Red Dead 2 we'd start bar fights in Valentine and some of us would stand by the door playing bouncer, making sure nobody came in with a gun and ruined the fun. That kind of self made nonsense is what kept online alive for me.
I just hope they don't pile on too many menus and upgrades. Let the world be the toy.
