Saw the mods over on r/GTA6 posted their launch day plan and figured it was worth sharing here since a lot of us are probably active in both places. They're not doing a full blackout on November 19.

Main thing is if you care about spoilers, stay off the sub until you've played. That part is pretty blunt. They said with the staggered time zone launch they can't hold all discussion hostage until every person who "moved" to New Zealand gets through it, and after waiting this long they don't want to choke the whole day.

Story stuff still gets protected for the first few weeks. Spoiler free titles and spoiler tags required for anything story specific. Prologue and cutscene posts especially. Any endings have to be clearly labeled in the title without giving details away.

But general shots of the city, cars, characters, animals, that stuff doesn't need a tag. So expect the feed to fill up with Vice City skyline pics and random wildlife clips day one.

There will be megathreads for mission help and bugs or tech problems, plus whatever official stuff Rockstar puts out. If you get stuck or your install is crawling, that's where it goes.

They also addressed the inevitable strip club and nudist colony screenshots. It's not an NSFW sub, so keep it PG-13 and tag anything spicy. I'd be surprised if people actually listen for the first 48 hours.

Sounds like modding is going to be stricter that day. Wrong flair, missing spoiler or NSFW tag, post gets rejected. They added a bunch of new mods to help with the queue and get approvals moving faster.

I'm cool with this approach. They're leaving general posts open but keeping story moments tagged. I'll probably go dark for launch day anyway and check back after my first long session.
