Stumbled on this over at the GTA6 sub and figured it might help some of you. If you don't have a Netflix sub but still want to catch the extended look when it drops at 3pm ET instead of waiting for the YouTube release at 9pm, there's a pretty simple workaround.

Netflix still does a 30-day free trial for new accounts. Sign up with an email you haven't used before, watch the extended look, then cancel before the trial ends. No charge. The original poster mentioned they'd done it before with a work email and it went fine.

I know a lot of people are just gonna wait for the YouTube upload, but if you're in a timezone where 3pm ET is the middle of the night, this might be worth it. You can watch at a normal hour and not have to dodge spoilers all day.

Obviously don't forget to cancel if you don't want to keep Netflix. Set a reminder or something.

Anyone else planning to do this or are you just waiting for the YouTube drop?

dodge spoilers all day

It's a 6-hour gap, 15:00 ET to 21:00 ET. Trial length is 30 days.

Six hours isn't a massive gap, but if 3pm ET lines up with your evening, dodging spoilers until the YouTube drop gets messy. The trial is basically clean infiltration.

dodge spoilers all day

Fair. Six hours is short, but if you're EU or Asia Pacific, that gap is prime spoiler territory. You'll be awake and online while the early crowd is already dissecting frames.

Just keep your loadout tight.

1. Burner email. Don't tie it to anything permanent.

2. Calendar reminder for day 29. The cancellation is the real getaway. Miss it and you're buying the full package.

3. Watch in a browser, not an app. Easier to kill the account clean without leftover logins on your TV.

I'm EU based so 3pm ET is just late night. I'll sleep through the gap and catch the upload fresh. Less moving parts.

Netflix trial for six hours? Sketchy as a backyard swap. I'll wait for the 9pm drop. CLEAN.

Here in Brazil timing is actually not so bad. 3pm ET is just 4pm for us, so the YouTube drop at 9pm ET hits at 10pm. I can do my normal day, grab dinner, then watch. No reason to mess with Netflix trial.

But I get it, if you're somewhere that 3pm ET is the middle of the night, then waking up to spoilers is a nightmare.

Watch in a browser, not an app.

That's a solid tip. Way easier to kill the account clean after.

Still, it's only six hours. I'll just avoid Twitter and wait. The video's the same anyway. Not worth the headache for me.
