one rdr2 thing to bring, one to leave behind for gta 6

I've been replaying RDR2 again with 59 days left until GTA 6, and it's still the best example Rockstar has for a world that feels genuinely alive. The random encounters, the NPC schedules, the way you can just wander off and find something weird. I want all of that energy in Leonida.

But there's a line. RDR2 makes you sit through a lot. Slow looting animations, the horse care, the cores, the way Arthur moves like he's wading through mud half the time. That pacing works for 1899. It would drive me up the wall in a GTA game where I'm trying to rob a store and then have to watch a five second animation to grab cash off the counter.

So my split is this. Bring the ambient world stuff, random events, NPC behavior, exploration. Leave the forced slow animations for basic actions. GTA still needs to feel quick when it counts.

If you had to pick one RDR2 mechanic to keep and one to bin, what's your split?

Bring the stranger mission chains. RDR2's multi-part encounters, the ones that unfolded over several in-game days, are the best side content Rockstar has ever built. GTA V's Strangers and Freaks came close, but RDR2 turned them into actual story arcs with payoffs instead of one-off errands. I want that depth across Leonida, chains that reward you for remembering a face you met twenty hours earlier.

Leave behind the missable content. RDR2 quietly locks certain encounters and item requests behind chapter progression, and if you advance the story too far they're gone for good. That's punishing design for anyone chasing 100%. I finished one playthrough at 99.7% because a single request expired, and I refused to restart sixty hours in. Side content should wait on the player, never expire on them.
