Got the PS5 Pro for GTA 6, but what if I just don't feel like playing?
I've been waiting for this game since forever, like most of us. But now that it's actually close, I'm getting this weird anxiety.
I finally bought a PS5 Pro a few weeks ago. Before that, my last console was a Sega Mega Drive 2 back in the 90s. I've been on outdated PCs ever since, always playing games years late on low settings. I didn't even touch GTA IV or V until 2015 when a buddy lent me his Xbox. Cloud gaming let me experience RDR2 and Cyberpunk on ultra a couple years back, but it wasn't the real deal.
So for the first time in my life, I've got the best console at launch. No 4K monitor, no fancy surround sound, but the hardware is there. November 19 is circled on the calendar. And now I'm sitting here thinking... what if I boot it up and just don't care? What if it feels boring?
I've noticed as I get older, my attention span for games is shot. I used to sink hours into anything, now I scroll the map for ten minutes and turn it off. It's not just games either, it's like a lot of things I used to love just don't hit the same anymore. I'm worried GTA 6 will be the same. All this buildup and then... nothing.
Anyone else feeling this? Or did you go through it with another big release and snap out of it once you started playing?

I'm banking on getting lost in the Leonida Keys for hours. (My Los Santos routine was just driving south to the docks.)
driving south to the docks
thats already more rp than half the grinders i know. if youre the type to just vibe and explore leonida keys, the rp servers are gonna eat. character builds write themselves out there.
i get the burnout fear though. my advice? wait for the online drop and find a whitelisted server with actual serious rp. having other players around fixes the map scroll and quit problem real fast.
