I don't know what it is lately but the hype just isn't there for me. And I'm not talking about the game itself, I'm sure it'll be incredible. It's the whole lead-up. The way Rockstar handles the community has completely drained any sense of anticipation I had.

We're what, three months out from launch? And we've had two trailers and a bunch of silence. No real deep dives, no proper gameplay breakdown, just... nothing. The marketing might ramp up soon and I'm sure it'll look amazing, but honestly? I just want it to be over. That's a weird feeling to have about a game you've been waiting over a decade for.

I've never felt this way about a game before. Usually the months before a big release are the best part, the speculation, the trailers, the community going nuts. Now it's just exhaustion. And yeah, the community's expectations are part of the problem, but Rockstar's approach to communication is the bigger issue. The complete silence for years, the drip-feed of info, the way they just ignore everyone until they decide to drop something. It's tiring.

I'm still gonna play it day one obviously, but the excitement has been replaced by this weird feeling of just wanting to get it over with. Anyone else feeling this drained instead of hyped?
