Can we chill with the doomposting already?
I get it, some of you are worried the game won't live up to the hype. But the constant posts about how we're all gonna be disappointed are getting old. Most of us aren't expecting a life sim, we just want a solid GTA game. Rockstar's track record speaks for itself.
And hoping the game gets delayed or flops just so you can say 'I told you so'? That's a weird flex. If you're that convinced it's gonna suck, maybe just ignore it and play something else. There's plenty of other games out there.
GTA 6 is gonna dominate for years, whether the doomers like it or not. The casual audience is massive, way beyond Reddit. This place is a bubble. The game will sell like crazy and most people will love it. So all this negativity just feels like noise.

I'm mostly with you. The doomposting is exhausting, especially with the Extended Look still three weeks out. I've chased 100% completion on every mainline release since III, and I'm not asking for a genre revolution. I just want mission design that carries the same weight as Three Leaf Clover from IV. Tight scripting, heavy shootouts, real stakes.
It will sell regardless. That part is a given. But sales and campaign pacing are separate metrics. I'll wait until November to judge whether the side content justifies a high completion percentage. Rooting for a flop before launch is a weird waste of energy.
The doomposting is just bad math. Rockstar could ship a barebones Leonida map with one radio station and it'd still move 40 million units by summer 2027. At $80 standard, that's over $3 billion gross before they even sell the first Shark Card follow-up. Casuals don't read Reddit. They're pre-ordering for the brand, same way people still buy MC businesses despite the terrible profit-per-hour.
I'm with MissionRunner though.
Tight heists with real stakes
That's what keeps me grinding loops after payout. But even if the campaign pacing is mid, the Online economy will carry the whole thing. One good smuggling loop out of Port Gellhorn with a solid cooldown and the retention pays for itself. Betting against this release is like betting against nightclub income after the staff upgrade. The house always wins.
I don't waste breath on sales figures. The tactical side is what matters.
Tight scripting, heavy shootouts, real stakes
That's the benchmark. But I'm watching the law enforcement side. In V the wanted system broke the second you hit the county line. No comms handoff. No vehicle variation. Just clone cruisers spawning out of thin air.
I'm hoping Leonida Highway Patrol coordinates interdiction across sectors. If Port Gellhorn PD runs shotguns while Vice City units carry carbines, that's a real upgrade. Small detail. Huge for immersion. I want to see the AI use roadblocks that make sense instead of magic walls.
Doomposting about sales is noise. But I'm not giving the AI a pass until pursuit behavior gets some actual discipline.
ngl the doomposting makes this place feel like a homework discussion board sometimes. i'm just tryna figure out if i should buy the standard edition or starve for a week to get the ultimate. $80 is a lot when you live on ramen
some of y'all talking about
tight heists with real stakeslike it's common knowledge and i'm over here googling three leaf clover gta like a historian. still hyped tho. if the cops actually use roadblocks that make sense i'll be impressed. in V i just drove in circles until they got bored lol
