can we stop zooming into puddles and talk about the world feeling alive
Every thread lately turns into a pixel hunt. Someone posts a screenshot and the replies are all about texture resolution or draw distance. I get it, the game looks incredible. But what I actually care about is whether the world feels alive.
Rockstar has always been good at little details, but the thing that could set GTA 6 apart is how people react to you. Not just cops or mission NPCs. Random pedestrians. The stuff happening around you when you're not doing anything. Walking down a street should be interesting on its own.
A game can look beautiful and still feel empty. We've all played those. If Rockstar gets that sense of everyday life right, that's a much bigger deal than how realistic a puddle looks. I don't need to zoom into a reflection. I want to see a street that feels like it's been there before I showed up. The visuals matter, obviously. But a pretty game with dead streets would be a letdown.
I'll take a living street over a perfect puddle any day.

Agree with you. RDR2 already showed they can do this, people greeting you, remembering your face, reacting when you cause trouble. If Leonida has that energy but in a dense modern city, it's going to be special. Here in Brazil a street is never quiet, always something happening. That's exactly the feeling I want from Vice City. Graphics I stopped worrying about long ago.
Real talk. A living street is what makes cruising fun. I don't care about puddle reflections when I'm rolling through Vice City in a built drift car. I want heads turning, traffic that feels real, maybe a random car meet popping off in a parking lot.
RDR2 had that energy. NPCs remembered you. Imagine that but with people reacting to your ride. That's the GOOD stuff.
Agreed, but a living world better come with a living economy. My nightclub clears $50k a night doing nothing, I want Leonida streets that earn too.
Same here. I get maybe an hour after the kids go to bed. I'd rather spend it watching a street live than squinting at screenshots.
