rockstar's track record on bug fixes should calm everyone down about the extended look
Saw a bunch of people picking apart the Extended Look frame by frame. Weird NPC animations, physics jank, some graphical stuff. I get it, we've waited forever and everyone wants it perfect. But maybe check what Rockstar actually does with this stuff before assuming it ships broken.
Their GTA V patch notes are basically a list of exactly these complaints. Incorrect NPC animations, flickering animations, characters moving wrong, NPCs acting weird, stretched textures, camera problems, physics issues, animals falling through the map. All of that got patched. Not once either. They were still fixing graphical glitches, animation bugs, cutscene problems and NPC/animal behavior in 2026. For a game that came out in 2013.
That's the part people keep missing. Rockstar is still polishing GTA V thirteen years later. If they're willing to do that for an old game, why would they ignore small issues in GTA 6? The Extended Look is pre-release footage. Some of what you're seeing might already be on their known issues list. Some of it might be fixed before November. We don't know.
I'm not saying don't criticize. But there's a difference between pointing out something and assuming it's definitely in the final game. Rockstar has a documented history of fixing this exact type of thing. Let them finish the game first.

Agreed on the track record. I still logged the flagged frames with timestamps. If they're fixed at launch, the list becomes trivia. If not, receipts.
the list becomes trivia
ok so that list is a day-one patch bingo card and i'm here for it, trivia or receipts it's gonna be fascinating reading either way come december.
but OP's evidence kinda cuts both ways, no? those patch notes prove rockstar fixes this stuff, sure! they also prove it was all in the shipped game. animals falling through the map, stretched textures, npcs acting weird, players found that after release, that's why it needed patching. so the history says jank gets fixed eventually. it doesn't say november 19 ships spotless. some of what people flagged in the extended look probably survives to launch and gets cleaned up over the first few months, and honestly that's fine, annoying but fine.
also the footage was captured well before it aired, that build's already old. freeze framing it this week might mean picking apart stuff they already fixed.
day-one patch bingo card
as someone who bought gta v last year for $15 on sale, finding out they were still patching a 2013 game in 2026 is lowkey insane to me lol. that game is older than some of my classmates. so yeah i'm not sweating freeze frames. if anything the broke part of me loves that my $80 might come with a decade of free fixes
Funny thing reading this as someone who bought Vice City day one in 2002. That game shipped with glitches and no patch was ever coming. What was on the disc was the game, forever. We just called the jank character and kept playing.
So a studio still fixing a 2013 game in 2026 is kind of a luxury problem. Some of that flagged stuff makes it to November 19, sure. It'll get fixed. I'm not losing sleep over freeze frames.
thirteen years of patch notes and nobody asks why they keep finding things... the seams are always there. you just gotta freeze the right frame
