rockstar's gta 6 merch is mostly a miss but that manatees jersey would hit

Saw the Twitter pics of the new GTA 6 merch drop and yeah, most of it looks rough. The bags seem way cheaper than what I'd expect from Rockstar. Money clip is just there. The Zippo has a basic R* logo and Vice City on the back, nothing like the RDR2 one that actually had a cool engraving. Hats are forgettable too.

The football is the one thing I actually like. If they made a proper Manatees jersey with that same quality, home, away, maybe a special edition, I'd buy it without thinking twice. Shut up and take my money territory.

I don't get why the merch feels so phoned in when the game itself is getting so much care. A high quality jersey would print money for them. Maybe they're holding back the good stuff for closer to launch, but right now it's a pass from me on most of it.

The RDR2 Zippo comparison stings because it shows they used to put real thought into little details. A plain logo on a lighter is the kind of thing you'd find at an airport gift shop. If they're going to charge premium prices, the items should at least feel like they belong in Leonida.

I'll keep my money for the game itself unless they drop that jersey. Then I'm in for all three versions.
