I saw a post on the sub that really hit home. Someone was talking about how GTA 6 means a lot more to them than a normal game would, and I get it.

I grew up with San Andreas and GTA V. Those games were around for so much of my childhood. I have memories tied to them that I don't even have with most people. Staying up late, exploring the map with friends, doing dumb stuff that had nothing to do with the story. That was a big part of growing up for me.

Now we're actually close to a brand new GTA. I wake up every day and the first thing I think is that we're one day closer. It sounds a little ridiculous, but having something this exciting to look forward to every day makes everything else easier. Most years don't give you that.

Some people will call it just another game and move on. For me it's a piece of my childhood coming back in a new form. I don't need it to feel exactly like San Andreas or V. I just want that same feeling of getting lost in a world for hours.

Anyone else have that kind of attachment to the older games, or is it just me?
