The npc expressions in that extended look are something else
Caught that first background NPC in the diner shot from the extended look and I can't stop thinking about it. The way their face just drops when they see what's coming. You can practically hear them thinking 'not this again'. Rockstar has always been good at little details but this feels like a whole other level. I know some people are saying it's just one NPC and not every single one will be that fleshed out, but honestly the ones they chose to show in the reveal all looked alive. Not just standing there like mannequins. The main characters obviously get the most work, but the background characters having actual emotions changes the whole vibe of the world. It makes random encounters feel less scripted and more like you're actually in a place where people react to stuff. I remember in GTA V the NPCs would sometimes have a reaction but it was usually pretty basic. This looks like they've put real thought into making even the throwaway characters feel human. Do you think this level of detail will hold up across the entire map or is it just for the scenes they showed off?
