so fans tracked down the real nudist resort and now the owner is losing his mind over fake reviews

So apparently some people in this community have way too much time on their hands. A real nudist resort somewhere got identified from footage that's been floating around, and instead of just going "huh, neat" and moving on, a bunch of fans decided to leave fake reviews on the place. Unflattering ones, obviously.
The owner is not happy. From what I saw, he's basically saying leave these nice naked people alone. And honestly, I get it. Imagine running a small business and suddenly your Google reviews are full of jokes from people who have never set foot on the property, all because a video game used a similar looking location or whatever.
I'm as hyped for GTA 6 as anyone, but this is the kind of stuff that makes the whole community look unhinged. The game isn't even out yet and we're already harassing real people over a fictional map. The owner apparently pointed out the irony of a nudist resort being accused of denying exposure, which is kind of funny in a sad way, but still. These are actual humans with an actual business.
I don't know if the resort is actually in the game or if it's just a coincidence, and I don't really care. What I do care about is that we don't become the kind of fanbase that ruins someone's day over a joke that wasn't even funny to begin with. There's a difference between being excited and being a nuisance.
Anyway, what is wrong with people that they think leaving fake reviews on a real business is a fun way to pass the time until November?
