security detail missions better not be a one off
The security detail stuff in the extended look has me hoping it's not a one off. Jason and Lucia look cold as hell in those outfits, and I've been wanting a proper bodyguard/fixer role in GTA for ages. We haven't really had that since Ballad of Gay Tony, and that was forever ago.
Luis had that whole vibe going on, but it was more about nightclub management than actual protection work. The idea of doing smaller security gigs that build up to the big mission we saw, that would be perfect. Like you start off escorting some low level influencer around Vice City, then work your way up to actual celebrities. The source mentioned nepo babies, and honestly that's exactly the kind of satire Rockstar would nail.
I don't want it to be just one scripted mission where you stand around looking tough. Give me a whole side hustle. Random calls to pick up a client, drive them somewhere, deal with paparazzi or stalkers. Maybe you get to choose how you handle situations, go loud or keep it quiet. That kind of freedom is what makes GTA feel alive.
And the outfits. I need those security fits as unlockable clothing. If I can't dress Jason like a private contractor after finishing that mission line, I'll be annoyed. Rockstar usually lets you keep mission outfits, so fingers crossed.
Anyway, I'm not expecting a full security career mode or anything, but a few repeatable missions would go a long way. It's a cool archetype and GTA 6 seems like the right game to finally do it justice.
