Grove Street Games delaying BeastLink to fix frame rate, wish they'd done that for the Trilogy

So Grove Street Games is pushing back BeastLink to smooth out performance on PS5. The same studio that gave us the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition at launch, where frame rates were all over the place and the games were a mess. Now they're taking extra time to "tighten up" the frame rate on their new game. I guess that's a good thing, but it's hard not to feel a little bitter. Where was that care when they were handling three of the most beloved GTA games?
I'm not saying BeastLink looks bad, it's actually got that EDF-style chaos going on where you almost expect the frames to dip. But the fact they're openly talking about performance polish now, after the Trilogy disaster, just hits different. Maybe they learned their lesson. Or maybe they just don't want another PR nightmare. Either way, it's a reminder of how Rockstar handled those remasters. They outsourced them, barely oversaw the project, and then had to spend months patching things up after the backlash.
I'm not here to bash Grove Street Games forever, but it's hard to forget. The Trilogy launch was rough. Missing textures, rain that looked like white noise, weird character models. And now they're being extra careful with a new IP. Good for them, I guess. But it makes me wonder how much of that mess was on them and how much was on Rockstar's tight deadlines. We'll probably never know.
Anyway, BeastLink isn't really my thing, but I'm curious if anyone here thinks this delay is a sign the studio has turned a corner. Or is it just damage control?
