the hair physics in the new footage are insane, especially lucia's braids
Watched the new stuff a few times now and I keep coming back to one thing. The hair.
Lucia's braids especially. They move like actual hair, not a helmet. When she turns or runs, you can see the weight shift. I paused a few frames and the way the braids separate when she spins is wild. NPCs too. Random pedestrians have hair that moves when the wind picks up. It's the kind of small thing that makes the world feel alive instead of a bunch of mannequins walking around.
I know the videos got a lot of attention for other reasons, but this is what I took away. During action sequences, the hair reacts to movement and environment. The braids have real physics, they swing and settle. That's huge for immersion. Rockstar always nails the little details, but this feels like a step up from anything we've seen.
I keep rewatching just to see how it flows. Am I the only one obsessed with this?
