us army is using gta 6 as a reenlistment bonus now

So the US Army is literally bribing people with GTA 6 now. Four days off to play it if you reenlist for at least two years. That's the deal. I saw this on PC Gamer and had to double check it wasn't a joke.
Apparently this kind of thing is normal for them, they've done it with other big game launches. But GTA 6? The most hyped game in a decade? They know exactly what they're doing. Imagine being on the fence about reenlisting and your sergeant slides a flyer across the desk with Lucia and Jason on it.
I'm not military, but I know a few people who are. They're already talking about it. One guy said he was planning to get out next year, now he's doing the math on two more years just for four days of uninterrupted Vice City. That's wild. Four days isn't even enough to finish the story if it's as long as RDR2, but I guess it's better than nothing.
The timing is interesting too. Preorders opened in June, the extended look is next week, and now the Army is jumping on the hype train. They're not stupid. Retention numbers have been rough for a while, and dangling the biggest entertainment launch of the year in front of soldiers is a pretty cheap incentive compared to actual pay raises or better living conditions.
I'm not saying it's a bad deal for someone who was already planning to stay in. Free days off to play a game you were going to buy anyway? Sure. But if you're on the fence, four days of gaming for two years of your life is a hell of a trade. That's like 0.5% of your contract time in exchange for a long weekend.
Would four days off to play GTA 6 be enough to make you sign a two year contract, or is this just a sign of how desperate the Army is for retention?

If you're already reenlisting, this is basically PTO and an $80 game. If not, you're trading 730 days for 96 hours. That's worse than solo MC resupply. Nightclub walls break even in 20 hours. Two years for four days? The math doesn't hit.
