gta 6 youtube is a clickbait wasteland right now

Saw a post on reddit with screenshots of youtube search results for gta 6 and it's just sad. The top results are all these channels putting out videos with titles that sound like official news or leaks, but then you look closer and the word "concept" is buried at the very end where it gets cut off in the thumbnail. Some of them are just straight up saying nonsense that has nothing to do with anything rockstar has actually shown.

What gets me is that youtube keeps pushing these channels. You search "gta 6" and the first page is full of this garbage. I've tried reporting a few of them for misleading titles and nothing ever happens. The algorithm just sees engagement and feeds it more.

I get that people want content between now and November, but this stuff is actively making it harder to find real info. When the extended look drops on the 27th, these same channels are going to flood the feed with reaction videos and fake breakdowns before rockstar even finishes the premiere. And after launch it'll be ten times worse. Every minor update will spawn a hundred videos claiming to have found "secret cut content" or whatever.

I've started blocking channels left and right but new ones pop up daily. At this point I just wait for rockstar's official channel and ignore everything else. It's the only way to keep my sanity until November 19th.

The algorithm seems to reward the most misleading titles. I've basically stopped searching and just wait for official drops.

wait for official drops

Same. These channels are like slapping some ebay body kit on a stock civic and calling it a race build. All flash ZERO substance. I'm just tuning out the noise and checking Rockstar's channel direct. No sense getting my hopes up with fake breakdowns when the Extended Look drops on the 27th. Keep it OEM.
