AI GTA 6 slop is racking up millions of views while we wait for real gameplay
Scrolling through YouTube yesterday and my recommended is full of these AI-generated GTA 6 'gameplay' videos. Some of them have millions of views. Millions. Eurogamer just ran a piece on it and the numbers are wild — people are so starved for a proper gameplay trailer that they'll click on anything with the GTA 6 logo slapped on it.
We're less than four months out from launch and Rockstar's still holding Trailer 3 hostage. Meanwhile, AI slop channels are pumping out fake footage of Lucia robbing convenience stores or Jason driving through Vice City at night, and the comments are full of people who can't tell it's not real. The character models have that weird plastic sheen, the animations are janky, and the HUD elements are just nonsense, but it doesn't matter. The thirst is real.
I get it, the wait sucks. But it's kind of embarrassing seeing the community give these channels exactly what they want. Every view is just encouraging more of this garbage. And it's not just YouTube — TikTok and Twitter are flooded with it too. Some of these accounts are making bank off fake GTA 6 content while we're all sitting here refreshing Rockstar's page hoping for a crumb of actual news.
What's the worst AI GTA 6 video you've stumbled across? I saw one where Lucia had six fingers and the car was driving sideways, but the comments were still like 'graphics look insane'.

but these ai channels rake in millions for fake jason models with that glossy plastic look. at least we've got two real trailers and a locked november 19 date to chew on instead of six-finger lucia slop. i'm just tired of it.

Half these AI clips can't even place the sun right over Vice City (seriously, the shadows point north at noon). Embarrassing. I'll take one frame of real Grassrivers mangroves over a million views of plastic Lucia driving sideways through a city that looks like Los Santos with a pastel filter.
