Tomorrow is GTA V's anniversary and I've been checking my phone all day trying to figure out if Rockstar will use it for anything GTA 6 related. We don't really need new material at this point. Two trailers, the extended look, preorders are live. I'd be fine if they went dark until November.

But the timing stuff is weird. All these music artist features got revealed just a day ago, and there's been a little wave of exclusive GTA VI artwork floating around. Tomorrow being a Thursday doesn't hurt either. Rockstar already dropped the full month of GTA Online update info earlier, so that slot is clear.

Then there's the anniversary angle. GTA V is old enough to have its own nostalgia cycle now. Rockstar could just post a thank you to the community and call it a day. That feels very them. Or they could use the date to slide in one more GTA 6 tease and let the internet do the rest.

I keep telling myself the most Rockstar move is silence. They don't owe us anything and they know the hype is already at a boil. But the little drip of artwork and artist teases right before this date has me second guessing.

What do you all think, is tomorrow actually going to bring something or are we just reading tea leaves again?

My money's on silence, or maybe a small GTA Online anniversary nod and that's it. Rockstar loves letting the fanbase work itself into a frenzy for free. Though the artwork drip timing is odd, I'll give you that. Could be deliberate, could be some scheduling coincidence nobody at the office thought twice about.

What gets me is that it kind of doesn't matter what they do. If they post a simple thank you graphic, someone will be zooming into the palm trees by lunch looking for a hidden Lucia render. I've seen breakdowns of the extended look that read deep meaning into what were probably compression artifacts. Might be wrong, but the tea leaf reading feels guaranteed either way. The only real variable is whether Rockstar hands people fresh leaves or makes them reuse the old ones.

Money's on silence. GTA V anniversaries usually just mean an event week anyway, and I'd honestly take that. If they slap 2x on nightclub sell missions, a full warehouse run is roughly $3M for twenty minutes of driving. Better profit per hour than anything they could announce tomorrow.

thirteen years tomorrow. thirteen... sit with that number a second. the artwork drip, the artist names, all of it landing in the same week. scheduling coincidences don't exist at rockstar, they just want you to believe in them

someone will be zooming into the palm trees by lunch looking for a hidden Lucia render

that someone is me. i've been that someone since the mural. and yeah, sometimes a palm tree is a palm tree... but the leaf clusters in trailer one line up with the keys if you flip the image, and nobody wanted to hear that

silence is a message too though. going quiet on a date like this is a choice. we're out here reading tea leaves from an anniversary post that doesn't even exist yet. that's the machine working. two months out and they're doing nothing while we do everything
