GTA 5 producer on GTA 6 PC delay: it's not about caring less, it's about resources

Caught this snippet from a GamesRadar interview with John Ricchio, who produced GTA 5. He was asked about the whole PC launch situation for GTA 6 and basically said Rockstar isn't anti any platform. The real reason they're not shipping on PC day one is way simpler than any conspiracy theory: if you're working on the PC version, you're not working on something else.
That something else being the console versions that need to be polished to a mirror shine for November 19. Makes sense when you think about it. Rockstar has always been a console-first studio, and with a game this massive, splitting the team to juggle a simultaneous PC port would just mean everything ships later or buggier. We've seen this movie before with GTA 5 and RDR2, and both PC versions turned out incredible when they finally dropped.
Still stings a bit for the PC crowd though. No date, no window, just the usual "we'll get to it when we get to it" vibe. At least they're not pretending PC doesn't matter, just that they'd rather do it right than rush it. I'm on PS5 so I'm safe, but I know a bunch of you are holding out. How long are you willing to wait for the PC port before you cave and double dip on console?

Resources. Sure. I'll believe the mirror shine when I see it in November.
I'm kind of split on the polish angle. More dev time on fewer platforms might mean tighter physics, but it might also mean we're gonna see some wild edge-case stuff slip through on console that the PC build could've caught. Happens every time a studio goes narrow focus.
I'll believe the mirror shine when I see it
Same honestly. What I'm more curious about is whether the PC delay gives them room to fix whatever jank we find on PS5 and Series X first. Or maybe the port team just sits in limbo until November. Anyone know if Ricchio hinted at parallel teams at all? I might've missed that.
You don't split the crew mid-prep. Ricchio's saying the whole team is on console entry until the vault's clear. I've run setups like that. You don't put your hacker on crowd control. Same idea here.
I'll believe the mirror shine when I see it
Fair skepticism. But the PC delay isn't wasted time. It's a reserve unit analyzing our breach logs. Every exploit we hit on PS5 in November becomes intel for their PC loadout. They'll patch the console build and harden the PC port before it ships.
Double dipping is trash payout efficiency. If you're PC main, wait it out. The PC versions always run cleaner in the end.
