headphones in gta 6 let you keep the radio and podcasts going on foot

Saw this on Eurogamer and had to post it. Rockstar is letting us wear headphones or earbuds that hook up to the in game smartphones, so radio stations and podcasts keep playing when you're on foot. First time the series has done anything like this.
Usually the radio dies the second you step out of a car. You get silence, footsteps, whatever ambient noise. Now you can keep a station going while you're walking through Vice City or riding a bike or whatever. The earbuds thing makes sense with Lucia and Jason both having phones in the trailers.
The on-demand podcast part is what I keep thinking about. You can binge true crime episodes while you're out doing actual crime. Rockstar's sense of humor is still intact. I'm already imagining walking into a convenience store with a podcast about a botched robbery playing in my ear.
No word yet on whether NPCs react to you wearing headphones, or if the audio gets muffled when you take them off. That would be a nice touch but I'm not holding my breath. The fact that it exists at all is more than I expected from the radio system.
What's the first thing you're queuing up once you get a pair of earbuds in Leonida?
