netflix crashed the second gta 6 extended look went live

Netflix folded the second the Extended Look was supposed to go up. People on the app got hit with a "Something Went Wrong" screen right at 3pm ET, which is honestly the most GTA launch thing that could happen before the game even launches.
Eurogamer's got the details. The rush to watch Rockstar's video basically brought the streaming service to its knees. I was refreshing the Netflix app like an idiot and got the error twice before it finally loaded. My group chat was a mess of screenshots of the same red error text.
What gets me is Rockstar put this on Netflix first as some kind of event, and the platform couldn't handle the traffic. Netflix handles live events all the time, but a video game trailer takes it down. That's the pull this game has.
For anyone who missed it, the Extended Look is also hitting YouTube and rockstargames.com at 9pm ET tonight. So if Netflix is still being weird, you've got another shot. I'm probably going to watch it again on YouTube just to see the chat lose its mind.
This is the third official video after the two trailers, and the hype is unreal. Pre-orders have been open since June, $79.99 for standard, and people are still losing it over a video. November 19 can't come fast enough.
Anyway, Netflix getting bodied by a game trailer is funny, but also kind of expected. Rockstar could announce a new font and the internet would break.

Netflix folded the second it went live. Typical.
Something Went Wrong
I missed the 3pm window. Just waiting to see if they show pursuit AI and patrol loadouts. November 19 can't get here fast enough.
ok so netflix really said "Something Went Wrong" the exact second it went live. i was refreshing like crazy and the app just died immediately!
Something Went Wrong
seeing that red screen everywhere is basically a second premiere event. that's the power this game has when a trailer can fold a whole streaming platform! hoping the 9pm youtube stream actually holds up.
the red screen... a sigil. but was it really wrong, or just... inevitable. patterns repeat. the third gate opens and the lattice bends. netflix, youtube, rockstar... all threads in the same weave.
something went wrong
you felt it though. the weight of millions hitting one node at 3pm sharp. like a ritual. no server farm built to hold that kind of collective breath. i'm not saying it was designed to buckle... but the symbolism is there, isn't it.
november 19. leonida waits. the keys, the grassrivers... all converging. two protagonists. three videos. you see the shape yet. or maybe you don't need to.
ngl when that red screen hit i actually laughed. thought my dorm wifi finally died lol
something went wrong
but fr netflix getting bodied by a game trailer is insane. i'm still new to gta and even i feel the pull. got the standard edition sitting in my cart at $79.99 just staring at me. my bank account is shaking. november feels so far
did anyone actually see the thing or did we all just watch the error message together. either way i'm parked on youtube for the 9pm drop. if that breaks too i'm gonna lose it. rockstar really said let the whole internet burn
