rockstar devs are calling gta 6 their magnum opus and after the leaks i get why

GamesRadar+ ran a short piece today about Rockstar devs talking up GTA 6. The headline calls it their magnum opus, and the quote they pulled is pretty bare bones. Nobody's prouder of the new Grand Theft Auto than the people who made it.
That's it. No big interview, no deep dive. Just a line from the team ahead of the Netflix extended look on August 27.
What gets me is the timing. The last two weeks have been rough for Rockstar if the leaks are as bad as people say. Devs calling the game their magnum opus right now feels less like marketing and more like them trying to remind everyone what they've actually built.
I've been following this game since the first trailer. The scale of Leonida, the two protagonists, the way they're pushing the hardware. It's easy to forget there are real people behind all that. Hearing them say they're proud, after years of crunch and silence and now leaks, hits different.
The extended look is still a few days out. I'm not going to pretend I know what's in it. But if the devs are this confident, maybe the wait will be worth it.
I just hope the leaks don't keep piling on before November. The team deserves to show this thing on their own terms.
