One of GTA 6's actors has finally been confirmed because it was already obvious: "There are too many people who knew me from King of the Hill"

Saw a GamesRadar article about an actor from King of the Hill getting confirmed for GTA 6. The headline says it was already obvious because too many people recognized them from that show. I guess the voice is that distinctive.

The best part is the quote they pulled from somewhere:

We got the Billdozer in GTA 6 before GTA 6
I don't even know if Billdozer is a character name or a nickname, but it's hilarious. Rockstar loves sneaking recognizable voices into their games, so this tracks.

No idea who they're playing or how big the role is. Could be a random NPC or someone with actual story presence. King of the Hill had a ton of memorable side characters, so it could be anyone. I'm just hoping they lean into it and give us some kind of nod to the show.

Which King of the Hill character would you actually want to hear wandering around Vice City?

Pausing the 100 percent checklist if it means tracking down this NPC. Ray Liotta carried Vice City on voice alone, so one distinctive actor is worth the detour.

give it a week after launch and somebodys running a hank hill propane salesman on every major server, spotless record, sells propane accessories out the back of a sandking. happens every time a voice gets recognizable. npc could have two lines and people will still camp the spawn trying to clip it for their intro video

If it's Stephen Root, that's legit casting. The man did Coen brothers material, he can carry way more than a two-line NPC.

Billdozer is Bill Dauterive. Saddest man in Arlen, peaked in high school football, never recovered. Which makes the joke even better, getting cast in GTA 6 is probably the best thing to happen to that guy in decades.

King of the Hill ran late night here in brazil and I watched a ton of it, so if it's really Stephen Root I'm happy. VinewoodVince is right, the man did Coen brothers movies, he can do serious work. But part of me hopes he's just some nervous guy behind a counter in Port Gellhorn, sweating through two lines. Perfect.

rp_grinder already called it, first week the servers will be full of Bills. My pick is Dale though. A conspiracy guy wandering Leonida fits Rockstar's satire way too well.

ok so Root as some washed up boat guy out in Port Gellhorn would be perfect casting, that voice does sad and menacing equally well. betting he's way more than two lines!
