There's a GTA 6 Discord Quest giving out free rewards, and it takes basically no effort

Insider Gaming put up a piece about a GTA 6 Discord Quest that hands out a reward for doing next to nothing on the app. That's the whole story, really. No deep dive, no wild speculation, just a heads up that there's a quest live and you can go knock it out now if you want the gift.

I don't know about you lot, but I've had Discord sitting on my second monitor for years and I've never once paid attention to the Quest tab. It's that little icon nobody clicks. Turns out there's occasionally a reason to.

what we actually know

Not much, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. The source says there's a quest, it rewards you with a gift, and completing it is barely any work. It doesn't spell out what the reward is or how long the thing runs. If you're the type who needs the full breakdown before you bother, you'll have to poke around in the app yourself.

Worth saying out loud: this is a Discord promotion tied to the game, not anything Rockstar's selling. Don't go in expecting a free copy or a code for the Ultimate Edition. That's not how these things work.

why I'm even posting this

Because we're twelve days out and the marketing machine is in full swing. Every platform with a partnership is going to have some little tie-in right now. Some of it's worth your two minutes, some of it isn't. A Discord quest that takes almost no effort sits somewhere in the middle, and free is free.

If you're already in a GTA Discord server or three, you've probably seen people asking about it. Might as well get it done before the 19th hits and nobody's thinking about anything except booting the game.

Anyone actually done the quest yet, and is the reward worth the click or is it just a profile badge?
