I did the math on Rockstar's 'An Extended Look' post and the numbers don't lie

Alright, hear me out. I know we already know the extended look is August 27th at 3pm ET on Netflix, but I couldn't help myself. I've been staring at that post since it dropped, and I think Rockstar hid the date in plain sight as a little puzzle for the sickos like me who can't let go of the trailer hunt days.

So the post says "An Extended Look" and then the details. But what if the words themselves are the code? I did what any sane person would do and converted each letter to its position in the alphabet. A=1, N=14, E=5, X=24, T=20, E=5, N=14, D=4, E=5, D=4, L=12, O=15, O=15, K=11. That gives us a string of numbers: 1, 14, 5, 24, 20, 5, 14, 4, 5, 4, 12, 15, 15, 11.

Now, if you just look at the first letter A (1) and the last letter K (11), you get 1 and 11. Add them together? 12. That's December, right? But wait, the extended look is in August. So that's not it. But if you take the 1 from A and the 5 from the first E, you get 15. And 15:00 is 3pm. Then take the D (4) and the second D (4) and add them? 8. And the 27? Well, the 13th and 14th letters are O and O, which are 15 and 15. 15+15=30, minus the 3 from the 3pm? 27. Or maybe the 27 comes from the total number of letters? No, that's 14. But if you add the unused numbers: 14+24+20+5+14+4+5+12+15+15+11 = 139. 1+3+9 = 13. That's not 27. But if you take the 1 from the first A and the 3 from the 13, you get 13, not 27. Hmm.

Okay, maybe I'm overcomplicating it. The real clue is the D. D is 4. There are two D's, so 4+4=8. And the 27? The 13th and 14th letters are O and O, 15+15=30, but if you subtract the 3 from the 3pm, you get 27. So 8/27 at 3pm. It's so obvious once you see it. Rockstar are geniuses.

I'm mostly joking, but you have to admit it's fun that the numbers kind of work if you squint hard enough. The real question is whether anyone at Rockstar actually planned this or if we're all just losing our minds waiting for November. What's the most unhinged GTA 6 theory you've come up with while we wait?

That's charitable. You're running more calculations than a studio accountant trying to bury my per diem. I respect the hustle though. We've all got that pre-release itch.

My most unhinged theory? Lucia's got a scar on her left hand in that one shot, which obviously means she used to be an underground pool shark who faked her own death. Zero evidence. Just vibes and four months of staring at the same thirty seconds of footage. At least your math accidentally lands on the real date. My headcanon won't survive the first cutscene.
