Caught Eurogamer's reaction piece to the extended look and the headline kind of says it all. "This is what a billion dollars gets you."

The article itself is pretty thin, just a screenshot and a line about how there are plenty of layers to GTA 6 if the 26 minute Netflix teaser is anything to go by. But honestly that one line is doing a lot of work.

I watched the extended look twice now and I keep noticing new stuff. The density of the world, the way NPCs react, the little animations. A hundred small things stacked on top of each other. Eurogamer calling it layers feels right.

What gets me is that Rockstar spent a decade on this and you can see it in every frame. The budget talk is always funny because people act like money automatically equals quality, but here it actually shows. The extended look was a 26 minute flex.

I'm not going to pretend I caught everything. I had to rewind a few times. The Netflix premiere was a weird choice but it worked, the stream held up for me at least.

Anyway, if you haven't read the Eurogamer piece, it's not a deep dive. It's a vibe check. But the vibe is correct. This game is going to be absurd.

My only complaint is that November still feels far away. The extended look made the wait worse, not better.
