gta+ free with gta 6 pre-order? anyone tried claiming it yet

Caught this on Insider Gaming a bit ago. Apparently you can claim free GTA+ as a GTA 6 pre-order bonus on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S right now. I had no idea that was part of the deal.

The piece is basically a guide, walks through how to claim it and lists all the pre-order bonuses. We already knew about the Vintage Vice City Pack from back in June, but adding GTA+ into the mix is new to me. I'm guessing it's a month or something, but the article doesn't get too specific on my quick skim.

I've been on the fence about GTA+ anyway. It felt like a GTA Online tax more than anything, but if it's bundled with the pre-order and might carry over to whatever GTA 6 Online becomes, that changes things a little. I'm on PS5, already have the standard edition locked in. Wondering if I need to do anything extra or if it just shows up after launch.

Anyone else see this? Did you claim it yet, and does it actually show as free in the store for you?
