helldivers 2 boss is glad gta 6 skipped pc for now

Saw the Helldivers 2 boss talking about GTA 6 not being on PC yet and it's a funny little moment. He basically said it's a good thing because Helldivers 2 gets to keep crushing it in its own space without Rockstar's juggernaut eating everyone's lunch. Can't really argue with that logic.
As someone who's been waiting for a PC version since the first trailer, it stings a bit. But from a dev perspective, I get it. If GTA 6 launched on PC day one, every live service game would feel the hit. Helldivers 2 has had a solid run and they probably want to keep that momentum through the fall. Rockstar's silence on PC is the real story though. We all know it's coming eventually, they always do a PC port, but the wait is going to be brutal.
I'm not mad at Arrowhead for saying it. They're just being honest about the competitive landscape. It does make me wonder how many other studios are quietly relieved that November 19 is console only. PC players will be watching from the sidelines while console folks dive into Leonida. I'll probably double dip when the PC version finally drops, but until then I'll keep an eye on Helldivers 2 updates. Good for them, I guess.

Here in Brazil the PC delay hits different, consoles are expensive right now and lot of my friends just wait for PC port. So when some dev says they are happy about it, I just laugh. Good for them I guess, but my wallet is crying.
Still, I get what he means.
every live service game would feel the hitThat's true. GTA 6 is like big football club, they swallow all the attention. Small teams need space to breathe. But come on, we know Rockstar will drop PC eventually and then everyone will panic anyway. I just hope they don't make us wait two years like last time. I want to walk on Leonida beaches without selling kidney for console.
He's not wrong. GTA 6 dropping in November would flatten every live service on PC like a Santa Monica bulldozer. Arrowhead gets to keep their crowd. Still, making PC players wait for Leonida is a rough call. Lucia and Jason's first drive through Vice City deserves a bigger stage than console exclusivity.
