MW4 lead not scared of GTA 6: 'It's a little head-to-head, that's great'

Caught this over on PC Gamer. The lead on Modern Warfare 4 was asked about GTA 6 and whether they're worried about the "black hole" effect. You know, the thing where every other game's player count just evaporates because everyone's in Leonida.
His take? "It's a little head-to-head, that's great." Also mentioned the pressure to keep things creative and entertaining. So they're not exactly shaking in their boots over there.
I mean, I respect the confidence. But let's be real. GTA 6 is going to be an absolute monster. Pre-orders went live June 25th and the hype is already insane. November 19th can't come fast enough. Call of Duty has its loyal base, sure, but when Rockstar drops a new game the whole industry feels it. Remember 2013? GTA V came out and everything else was background noise for months.
Still, it's refreshing to see a big dev just own it instead of hiding behind PR fluff. No "we offer a different experience" nonsense. Just a straight-up "bring it on." I can appreciate that.
But honestly, I don't think MW4 and GTA 6 are even competing for the same thing. One's a yearly shooter, the other is a once-in-a-decade open world epic. Most people will probably buy both. The real question is which one they'll be playing come December. And we all know the answer to that.
