August 7 conference call is coming up, and we still haven't seen Trailer 3
I went back and read those articles from a few months ago where Strauss was talking about a big summer marketing push. Something about a "groundbreaking" campaign. And here we are, almost a month after pre-orders went live, and we've got nothing new. No Trailer 3, no screenshots, no deep dive. Just the Ultimate Edition reveal and the pre-order bonuses.
I'm not complaining about what we got in June, but I think a lot of us expected more in-game footage by now. The next Take-Two earnings call is on Friday, August 7th, at 8am Eastern. That's before the stock market opens, which usually means they want to drop something big and let investors digest it before trading starts.
If Rockstar shows up to that call with nothing new to show, investors are gonna ask where this "groundbreaking" summer marketing campaign is. They hyped it up in May, and now it's August. It doesn't make sense for them to stay silent right up to the call. So I'm thinking we have to get something before August 7. Trailer 3, a gameplay reveal, maybe a big preview event. Something's gotta give.

Rockstar's running a six-week marketing cooldown at $0 per hour. Even my nightclub makes passive cash faster than this.

lmao facts. but this whole "groundbreaking" summer push feels like rockstar running their usual drip feed. six weeks of afk after the ultimate edition drop just screams theyre hoarding a reveal for that august 7 call.
not saying we get a full trailer 3, but i bet we see a polished thirty second cut and some screens to juice pre-order numbers. investors dont care about lucia driving through grassrivers for fifteen minutes, they want hype and velocity. just enough to keep the grinders fed until november.
Pre-orders went live 20 days ago (June 25). It's been 14 months since Trailer 2 (May 2025) and we've gotten zero new moving footage.
The August 7 call is 23 days out. If they don't drop something before then, the gap hits 15 months. Investors have a release date and two trailers. That's the full dataset.
"groundbreaking" summer push
Pure investor fluff. They'll drop a twenty second clip before August 7 so the earnings slide looks alive. Then radio silence until October. Same old drip feed dressed up for shareholders.
ok so the Vintage Vice City Pack art already gave us the tone but that's not moving footage and we all know it.
theyre hoarding a reveal for that august 7 call
and i think that's exactly it but i'd be shocked if it's longer than a minute. investors want velocity and we want grassrivers in motion. same difference i guess.
