rockstar shows off nopixel v evolution but still won't say a word about gta 6 multiplayer
Insider Gaming has a short piece up about Rockstar unveiling something called NoPixel V's evolution. The headline makes it sound bigger than the actual info, which is basically that Rockstar showed off whatever this RP evolution is and then went right back to not talking about GTA 6 multiplayer.
I know NoPixel is the big third party RP server for GTA V, so seeing Rockstar involved with its evolution is interesting. The article doesn't go into detail about what changed or what Rockstar's role actually is. It just says they unveiled it. That's the whole update.
The part that stings is the silence on GTA 6 multiplayer. We're less than three months from launch and Rockstar still hasn't said a single concrete thing about what online looks like in the new game. They've shown single player stuff, the extended look, all that. But multiplayer? Nothing. Not a mode list, not a beta date, not even a confirmation that it's called GTA Online 2 or whatever.
I get that they want to keep focus on the story and the world, but at some point people are going to start asking louder. GTA Online is still printing money for them, so you'd think they'd want to tease the next version before launch. Instead we get a NoPixel V evolution announcement and a shrug on GTA 6 multiplayer.
Maybe they're saving the multiplayer blowout for closer to release. Or maybe they're still figuring out how to handle RP officially after the NoPixel stuff. Either way, the radio silence is getting old.

They won't hype the replacement while the current one still moves Megalodon cards at $100 a pop. GTA Online is a live revenue stream, so the silence is just math. Multiplayer reveal probably lands after launch, once the $80 story copies are banked. The NoPixel thing tracks though, they bought the FiveM team years ago. RP was always getting folded in officially.
