Take-Two's latest earnings report dropped and Red Dead Redemption 2 is now at 87 million units. That's up from 86 million last quarter, so it's still moving copies even after all these years. For a single-player focused game that came out in 2018, those are insane legs.

GTA V is still the king at 210+ million, but RDR2 is quietly becoming one of the best-selling games ever. And it's a slow-burn cowboy game. Now imagine what GTA 6 is going to do with the hype it already has. Pre-orders are already "exceptional" according to Take-Two, and we haven't even seen the extended look yet.

Rockstar's track record speaks for itself. Every major release they've put out since GTA III has been a cultural event. RDR2's 87 million is just a warm-up for what's coming in November. The question isn't if GTA 6 will break records, it's by how much.

What's your guess for GTA 6 first-year sales? I'm thinking 50 million minimum.
