Saw the Insider Gaming piece about Rockstar's UK union vote. Ballot runs from November 12 to November 26, and it could cover more than 1,600 workers. If it passes, that's one of the biggest unions in the games sector.

Timing is what gets me. That vote window sits right on top of GTA 6 launch on November 19. So the people finishing the game, fixing last minute stuff, dealing with day one chaos, they'll be casting ballots at the same time. I don't know if that helps or hurts the vote, but it's hard to ignore.

Rockstar has a reputation for crunch, and a lot of us remember the stories from the RDR2 days. A union at the UK studios won't magically fix everything, but it gives workers an actual seat at the table. For a game this massive, that matters more than ever.

I'm hoping it passes. Better working conditions usually mean better games, and I'd rather the people who made Vice City feel like Vice City aren't sleeping under their desks in November.
