Zelnick says we'll get the Netflix thing after the extended look
So Strauss Zelnick was talking about the Netflix deal again. He didn't give much away, but he said something interesting: once we see the extended look on August 27, we'll understand why they partnered with Netflix for it.
He was praising streaming tech too, saying how far it's come. I guess that makes sense, they're putting a lot of weight behind this reveal. Netflix first, then YouTube and Rockstar's channels later that day. It's not just a trailer drop, it's an event.
I'm still not sure what to make of it. Maybe the stream will have some interactive bits? Or maybe it's just a business move, Netflix paid a ton for the rights and Take-Two gets a big audience. Zelnick seems to think it'll all click once we see it.
What do you think the partnership is really about? Just a streaming deal or something bigger?
