Pirating a trailer? The Netflix deal is getting ridiculous

PC Gamer ran a piece today that basically sums up how absurd this whole situation has become. The extended look is locked behind a Netflix subscription for the first few hours, and the article's point is simple: people are going to end up stealing an advertisement.
Think about that for a second. Rockstar is making a trailer, something that's supposed to build hype and get as many eyeballs as possible, and they're putting it behind a paywall. Even if it's just for a few hours, the internet doesn't wait. Clips will be ripped, reuploaded, streamed on Discord, you name it. The same people who'd never pay for a movie will be scrambling to find a working link for a three-minute video of Jason and Lucia.
I get that Netflix probably paid a ton for this, and Rockstar gets to feel like a Hollywood studio. But the whole thing feels like a weird flex. We're at the point where marketing is so exclusive that it's generating its own piracy scene. The comments on that article are already joking about which torrent site will have the best encode of a trailer. It's funny, but also kind of dumb.
I'll probably just wait for the YouTube drop at 9pm. Not giving Netflix my card info for a free trial I'll forget to cancel. But you know some people won't. And that's the joke.
