Are we gonna be stuck grinding contact missions for 18 months before GTA 6 Online gets heists?

I still remember the early GTA Online grind. My brother would rage at Rooftop Rumble for hours because it was the only thing that paid halfway decent. Contact missions, survival, maybe some racing if you could find a lobby that wasn't a complete disaster. It took Rockstar a year and a half to finally give us heists, and even then they were buggy as hell at launch.

So now I'm sitting here wondering if GTA 6 Online is gonna pull the same move. I don't expect some massive, multi-part spectacle on day one — they'll probably want to see how the economy shakes out and what players are actually doing first. But it'd be nice if they at least had something small ready. A Fleeca Job equivalent, you know? Just a two-person thing to give us a taste and a way to make decent money before everything gets inflated to 2 million a pop.

They've had years to learn from GTA Online. Cayo Perico proved they can design solo-friendly stuff that doesn't require a full crew of randoms who'll quit the second something goes wrong. I'm really hoping they bake that philosophy into whatever Leonida's online looks like from the start. Even if it's not a full-blown heist, at least give us some structured, repeatable missions that pay well enough so we're not all grinding the same activity until we lose our minds.

What do you guys think — is Rockstar gonna make us wait again, or have they finally figured out that heists are the whole reason half of us even log in?

hope they dont make us wait. rp servers need decent cashflow from day one or every new character build is stuck grinding dock jobs.

this. so much this. 2004 me didn't even have online cashflow to worry about... If GTA 6 Online launches with nothing but contact missions and survival waves, it's 2013 all over again. Rockstar learned from Cayo Perico. hopefully they don't make us prove we can suffer first.
