official rp in gta 6 online... are we just gonna get sanitized cop and robber lobbies?

FiveM kept V alive way past its expiration date. Rockstar bought it, so you know GTA 6 Online is gonna have some kind of official roleplay framework baked in from day one. The question is whether that kills what made it special.

I remember the SA-MP days. 2005, 2006. No hand-holding. You wanted to be a trucker, you found a server with a script that barely worked and you made your own fun. The jank was the charm. Official support sounds nice on paper, dedicated servers, proper character creation, maybe even voice chat that doesn't cut out every five minutes. But I can't shake the feeling it'll be a curated, monetized version. Pre-made jobs, pre-approved storylines, Shark Cards for your RP character's apartment.

What I actually want is just the tools. Give us the same server binaries the old SAMP team had to reverse-engineer, but officially. Let the community build the weird stuff. The 2002 Vice City modders didn't wait for permission. That's the energy that made RP immortal, not a polished menu option.
