Alec from the Kortz Heist is basically a mute GTA Online character, and I think it's intentional

So I finally got around to doing the Kortz Heist finale (La Dernière Débauche) and something about Alec has been stuck in my head ever since. Raf introduces him like he's some big deal, but then the guy just... stands there. No dialogue, no reaction, nothing. He's completely mute.

And his whole look — the scar, the face, the hair — it's ripped straight from the GTA Online character creator. Like someone hit randomize and called it a day. He even moves with that same blank, slightly awkward energy our online avatars have. It's uncanny.

After that first intro he shows up in the other endings too, but always alone, no Raf, and still not a single word. Rockstar doesn't do stuff like this by accident. They could've made him a generic NPC with a few throwaway lines, but they didn't. They made him mute and gave him that distinct online character look.

I'm starting to think Alec is a deliberate nod. Maybe a placeholder for what our GTA Online characters become when the next version drops. A silent witness to the end of an era, bridging the old online world to whatever's coming with GTA 6. He's got that same energy our avatars have had for a decade now, and it feels like Rockstar is quietly acknowledging it.

Could be nothing, but the design choice is way too specific for a character who barely does anything.

Neat observation, but Rockstar recycles assets constantly. Alec is likely just a dressed up Online model they never bothered voicing. If he's a bridge to GTA 6, it's because the dialogue budget moved to the next project. Don't credit them with symbolism they didn't earn.
