ps5 running gta 6 at stable 30fps is actually insane
I keep seeing the same complaint pop up and I'm starting to think people have zero idea how game optimization works.
The PS5 is six years old. You paid $500 for it. It's pushing the biggest game ever made to a stable 30fps on a 4K TV. That's not a failure, that's a flex.
There's no magic button for 60fps. Rockstar isn't holding back performance out of spite. The hardware has limits. People act like 60fps is a setting you can just toggle. It's not.
The game is already insanely optimized. Holding 30fps with this level of detail on that box is the optimization. If they tried to hit 60, you'd get a blurry mess or a slideshow in the dense areas.
I get wanting 60fps, I do. But the math doesn't work. Not on this hardware. Not with this scope.
I'm just glad they prioritized stability over chasing a number that half the TVs can't even display properly. Stop bitching.
