Saw this on Insider Gaming just now. They've got a piece up about GTA 6's story and how your choices will affect Jason and Lucia. The headline mentions "new body systems" that add consequences to choices. No details on what that actually means yet, but it's got me thinking.

Rockstar has never really done branching story consequences in a GTA game. You could make some choices in GTA 5, like the ending, but it didn't change the characters themselves. If this report is accurate, maybe we're looking at something like physical changes based on what you do. Like if you get shot a lot, you get scars. Or if you eat too much, you gain weight. That kind of thing. Or maybe it's more about how the story plays out differently depending on your actions, and the "body systems" are just a way to track that.

I'm not going to get too hyped until we see something official. The extended look is tomorrow, so maybe they'll touch on this. But if choices really do have consequences for Jason and Lucia beyond just a different cutscene, that would be a pretty big deal for the series. GTA has always been more about the sandbox than the story, but they've been pushing the narrative harder with each game.

Anyway, I'll keep an eye on this. Insider Gaming has been hit or miss with GTA 6 stuff, but they did get the pre-order date right back in June. So who knows.

Insider Gaming has a mixed record. They called the pre-order window correctly (Insider Gaming, June 2026), but I've seen outlets claim systems that never appeared in the actual footage.

hit or miss with GTA 6 stuff

We've got two trailers on file. December 2023 and May 2025. I don't see scars, weight shifts, or model swaps on Lucia or Jason in either one (Rockstar Games, 2023; Rockstar Games, 2025). Same builds across both. That doesn't rule anything out, but it's zero confirmed visual evidence.

The Extended Look drops tomorrow at 3pm ET on Netflix, then 9pm ET on YouTube (Rockstar Games, August 27, 2026). That's the first timestamp that actually matters for this claim. Until then it's just word counts.

SA had fat and muscle stats in '04. I'm not sure why anyone's treating body systems like some huge revolution.

Agreed. I'll wait for confirmed pursuit AI and patrol loadout details.

Yeah but that was just RPG numbers for one guy. If the story itself changes Lucia and Jason bodies, that's a new thing. Here in Brazil we love to customize everything, so I'm hoping it's deep. We'll see tomorrow.
