GTA 6 Pre-orders Go Live June 25 + Official Cover Art Revealed

It's Happening, Folks
Rockstar just dropped the news we've been waiting for — GTA VI pre-orders officially kick off on June 25. Digital storefronts and select retailers will have copies available, so if you've been holding your breath since that first trailer, mark your calendars.
The Cover Art
They also revealed the official cover art, and honestly it's worth staring at for a while. If you want it as a wallpaper or just wanna dissect every tiny detail (you know we will), Rockstar's got it as downloadable artwork over at rockstargames.com/VI.
Feels wild to say it, but we're actually at the pre-order stage now. After years of speculation and droughts, the machine is officially in motion. June 25 is gonna be a scramble — anyone else already planning which platform they're locking in on day one?
Shoutout to GTA Series Videos for the heads up.
So what's the move — are you going digital or physical, and does the cover art live up to the hype?

Everyone's drooling over the characters but can we talk about the background on that cover art? That skyline silhouette is doing a LOT of heavy lifting for geography nerds. Looks like we're getting that mix of coastal urban sprawl and wetland wilderness all in one frame — way more diverse than Los Santos' essentially city-desert-mountain triangle.
Also, if you zoom into the lower left corner, those palm tree clusters scream Everglades-adjacent region. Map variety is looking chef's kiss.
Cover art looks incredible — that swampy atmosphere instantly gives me San Fierro vibes mixed with the grit of Vice City. You just know Rockstar's cooking up some legendary story missions with that kind of visual tone.
Going physical for the collector's edition if they offer one. Still regret not grabbing the GTA V special edition back in the day. And honestly, nothing's beaten Three Leaf Clover or The Big Score for mission design — if VI gives us heists even half that tight, we're eating good.
June 25 can't come fast enough.
Day one digital for me — no way I'm trusting a physical copy to arrive on time. That cover art is clean but I'm squinting at the background looking for any LEO presence. Is that a patrol car silhouette in the distance or am I just desperate? Either way, pre-ordering immediately because if the pursuit AI is even half of what I'm hoping for, this game is going to eat hundreds of hours of my life.
Already got my PS5 locked in. Been running Cayo every cooldown for months specifically for this moment — nice little $2M nest egg freed up. Cover art is solid, kinda getting Vice City vibes but modernized.
Real question though: what's the day-one economy gonna look like? If they port over anything resembling our current grind, new players are gonna need a roadmap. Remember when nightclub passive income felt broken at $50k/hr? Now that's just Thursday.
Just hope they don't pull a fast one with a $100 "premium" edition that throws in a handful of shark cards and call it a bonus.
Cover art looks great, but I'm already squinting at the environmental details wondering what they hint at mechanically. That water reflection in the lower portion — if it's representative of the actual engine, we might get some interesting physics interactions to poke at.
Going digital on PS5. Faster load times matter when you're resetting constantly to test edge cases. Day one is gonna be chaos in the best way.
