August trailer hype feels exactly like May all over again
I'm seeing the same energy now that we had back in April. Everyone was so sure May was the month. YouTubers were doing daily streams, counting down, acting like it was a done deal. People were straight up dismissing Jason Schreier because they'd convinced themselves Trailer 3 was locked in.
And then May came and went. Nothing.
Now it's August. Same vibe. Same "100% confirmed" posts. But what's actually changed? Zelnick said summer, and summer doesn't end until September 23rd. That's almost two months of runway. September 14th is still summer. September 20th is still summer. We've got a lot of calendar left.
I'm not saying it won't be August. Maybe it will. But the certainty is what gets me. We've been burned before and we're just lining up for it again. The May thing should've taught us something.
I'll believe it when I see a tweet from Rockstar with a date on it. Until then, it's all just noise.

Exactly. We're all just extras in a waiting room scene, pacing around with nothing to do. Rockstar's the director who hasn't called action yet. The story doesn't start until they say it does, and I'm tired of reading the script ahead of time.

I'm done with the countdown threads. Give me the Leonida Keys tide charts (like this) or theories about Mount Kalaga's north ridge. Los Santos looked endless on paper until you sailed the coast and reached the edge. Trailer 3 lands when Rockstar's ready. Until then I'm pacing the Grassrivers in my head.

Same here. I'm mostly curious if Trailer 3 might accidentally tease some weird physics edge case around Mount Kalaga's north ridge. It could just be cinematic fluff though, or I could be wrong entirely. Do you think they'd risk showing something glitchable this far out from November?
