the wall break in the extended look has me rethinking focus mode

Rewatched the trap-house raid from the Extended Look last night and one moment keeps bugging me. An S4S member tackles a cop straight through a wall and it leaves an actual opening behind. Could just be a scripted NPC interaction for that scene, sure. But the more I look at Focus, the less sure I am that it's only there for slow motion.

In the Megamundo section, Jason pops Focus and time slows while enemies get highlighted. Yellow for non-lethal spots, red for lethal. We already knew from MikeShowSha's time at Rockstar North that cops show up blue and interactable objects show up red in that mode. Focus does more than slow things down. It layers information on top of the world.

That's what makes me wonder about thin walls. If Focus can mark interactable objects, what's stopping it from flagging weak points in certain walls or doors? A breach point you'd never notice at full speed could light up when you slow things down. Then you tackle someone through it, or shoot it out, and suddenly there's a new route through a mission location. The trap-house wall break might be a hint at that exact system.

Could be reading too much into one tackle. Rockstar loves set piece moments that never repeat. But Focus already feels like it's doing more than we thought, and adding wall breaches would fit the whole plan your approach vibe they're pushing with Lucia and Jason. I'd keep an eye on any interior wall that looks a little too clean in future footage.

meanwhile i'm still processing that there's a slow-mo mode at all lol. tackling a cop through a wall does sound pretty sick tho
