so if i only do cardio as jason, does he get skinny but still strong? the gym system has me overthinking
Read through the new customization details and the gym stuff is the first thing that actually got me excited. Not just the usual haircut and clothes, but actual body changes tied to what you do. That's huge for a game like this.
They said there's different workouts for different cores. So you can target arms, legs, core, cardio, whatever. If you play as Jason and just hammer cardio with a little lifting thrown in, how does that show up? It's not just skinny or fat anymore, there's an in between. I'm guessing you could get a lean runner build versus a bulky lifter build, and maybe stamina versus strength tradeoffs. But does the game actually care about that distinction?
Like if Lucia does nothing but leg day, does she sprint faster or kick harder? Or is it purely cosmetic and the stats stay the same no matter what? The source I read didn't spell that out, just said working out affects how you look. I'd love it if there's a real gameplay effect, even a small one. Makes the grind feel worth it.
Either way I'm spending way too long in the gym before even starting the story, that's a guarantee. Rockstar knows how to make the side stuff addictive.
