i hope the inventory system makes sale missions less of a pain

Anyone else remember the absolute misery of GTA Online sale missions? You'd grind for hours to fill up your coke lockup or bunker, then get handed four slow ass mail vans to drive up a mountain. Or the Post Op vans. God, the Post Op vans.

And the worst part was you couldn't do anything about it. You just had to eat the loss or rejoin the session and hope the game gave you something better. People would literally sit there re-rolling for the motorcycle delivery because at least those were somewhat fast. But even then, why am I stuck with these stock bikes? I've got a garage full of faster ones. Why can't I just load my product onto my own ride?

RDO had a similar thing with the trader wagon. You only had the one carriage, so it wasn't as bad, but still. No choice in how you moved your goods.

Now with GTA 6 supposedly having a vehicle inventory system where different vehicles have different storage capacities, I'm really hoping Rockstar lets us actually pick what we drive for these kinds of missions. Like, you want to move a huge shipment? Grab a big truck, but it's slow and obvious. Or you could split it up into a smaller van that's quicker and blends in better. That trade-off would actually make the missions interesting instead of just a dice roll.

I know we don't have confirmation on how any of this works yet, but the idea of choosing your own vehicle and how much product to pack is exactly what those old sale missions were missing. It would make the grind feel less like a chore and more like a decision you're making.

I'm excited for both singleplayer and online if this is how it shakes out. Singleplayer could have some cool smuggling side activities, and online would finally stop being a re-roll simulator.

What do you all think? Would you rather have the big risky truck or the small sneaky van for moving product?

Agreed on the re-roll problem. I tracked my bunker sales for a month once, and Post Op came up roughly 30 percent of the time. That's a failure rate no mission designer should ship twice. Your truck-versus-van trade-off reminds me of Vice City's Distribution asset: slow vehicle, escalating wanted level, real tension. Give players that choice and completion stops feeling like a coin flip.

never played online but 30% post op sounds like actual torture lol. small sneaky van for me, i'd crash the big truck in 10 seconds

Got a take on this?
