do we think we'll get to fly actual airliners in gta 6
I've seen a lot of vehicle wishlist threads but barely anyone brings up the big planes. I'm not talking about the little stunt props or a private jet. I mean something like a 737 or A320 sized airliner you can actually take off and land.
GTA V teased this so hard. The big jets at LSIA were there, they looked the part, but you couldn't fly them. They were set dressing. That always bugged me because the runways were right there and the map had the space.
Now with Leonida and the airports they've shown, it feels like the same question is coming back. Why build a proper airport with long runways if we're stuck with small planes again? It would be a weird limitation for a game that's supposedly pushing realism and scale.
I get the other side though. A full size airliner might be tough to make fun in a GTA context. They're slow to respond, need a lot of runway, and crashing one into downtown would be chaos. Maybe Rockstar wants to keep the air traffic feeling like background noise instead of something you can steal.
But the dream is every plane you see is flyable. That's never fully happened in a GTA. V got close with a few, but the mid size stuff was just decoration. If GTA 6 finally lets us grab a passenger jet from the tarmac and take it up, that alone would be worth the price for me.
Do you think Rockstar will finally let us fly the big ones, or are they staying as set dressing again?
