i need to know if stores remember getting robbed in gta 6
Been thinking about the robbery stuff they've been hyping up for GTA 6. We know robberies are supposed to be a bigger part of the game than they were in V. But what I can't figure out is whether the world actually keeps track of what you've done.
Say I hit a convenience store or a gas station in free roam. Can I come back a few in-game days later and rob that exact same spot again? In GTA V the answer was basically yes, everything just reset after a while. Clerk back behind the counter like nothing happened. No extra cops, no cameras, no recognition. That always felt a little cheap.
What I'm hoping for with VI is some kind of persistence. Like if you hit a store once, maybe the next time you walk in the clerk is nervous or hits a silent alarm faster. Maybe they added a camera after the first robbery. Or the employees straight up recognize Jason or Lucia and the police response is quicker because they know you're a repeat offender. That would make free roam robberies feel way more alive.
I don't remember them covering this in the extended look or either trailer. They showed robberies being a thing, but not whether locations have memory. Could be one of those details they leave for us to find at launch. Or maybe it's just GTA V style resets and I'm overthinking it.
Either way, I'd love if Rockstar went the persistent route. Even a small touch like a store boarding up for a few days after a robbery would sell the world. GTA VI is supposed to be their most detailed open world yet, and this feels like exactly the kind of thing they'd nail.
